Welcome to By Faith Massage Therapy: The only not-for-profit essential oils company in the U.S.A.
We are a small, family owned, Christian based business and ministry in Weatherford, Texas. We are simple, plain-dressed homesteaders who are commonly mistaken for Amish (as we dress similarly); however, we attend a modern Christian church and use some modern technology.
We operate a massage and Aromatherapy clinic in Aledo, Texas, and offer biblical family and marriage counseling as a part of our ministry. While we have always supported the essential oil industry because we believe in holistic and natural remedies, we became disenfranchised by the current suppliers of essential oils in America for various reasons.
We began sourcing our own oils directly from farms, distillers, and distributors from around the world for use and sell in our own clinic. We put the bulk of our available resources into finding only the best oils available through research and testing samples from countless sources. Eventually, we had our first few oils; however, as we ordering directly from the source, we had to order much larger quantities than we could ever use in our clinic. We began bottling and selling these oils at very low profit margins in order to relieve ourselves of excess inventory. Through word of mouth, we quickly began getting countless requests for our oils, and eventually began selling through local pharmacies.
Our oils have now seen enough success that we have been able to expand our inventory and now carry most of the common single oils, as well as several blends and creams created by our aromatherapist. As we have seen the amazing blessings and benefits our customers have received, we have decided to offer our oils nationwide online while continuing to operate at zero profit. We believe that we offer the highest quality oils. Period. We have tested our oils against every major distributor we know of and exceed their levels of quality and purity every time. Most companies shoot for an industry average of a 600% markup on their oils while we maintain an average markup of about 40% (to cover our costs), giving us the ability to source much better, more expensive products and still maintain lower prices.
When you purchase oil from us, approximately 50% of the purchase price was absorbed by the "cost of goods sold", including our cost in purchasing the oil, bottles, labels, packaging, overhead, and shipping cost. From there, we must pay employee salaries (we currently only have 2 employees, and no one makes more than $30k/yr including the owners), expansion (bringing in new oils, equipment, expensive GCMS testing, etc.). After that, we unfortunately must pay necessary taxes, and any and all profit remaining within our company after these expenses are paid are donated directly to Christian charities.
